From: Sergio Calatroni Sent: Friday, July 08, 2005 5:05 PM To: Delio Duarte Ramos Cc: Francesco Ruggiero; Massimiliano Ferro-Luzzi; Leonel Marques Antunes Ferreira Subject: Au coating Hello Delio, I made a measurement of contact resistance of a CuBe finger 3 mm wide onto NEG. I got 40 mOhm with a contact force of 50 grams, and 20 mOhm squeezing it. Scaling to the total circumference of the contact onto LHCb UX85/1 vacuum chamber, this will boil down to less than 1 mOhm. In my experience this value would be low enough. However, if people in LHCb have any fear, or the specification they got in the past was lower, it is better they ask the advice of Francesco Ruggiero, since I am not allowed to give specifications for this. Please remind that only the value matters, not the technology to obtain it... Leonel may have some further information for you on this topic.
